Solid Bible Instruction:The student travels through the major portions of the Bible in three fashions. In the Bible Survey Courses, an overview of each book of the Bible and how the books relate to each other is given. This forms a skeleton upon which other facts can be organized and built. In the theology courses, each of the major doctrines of the Christian faith are methodically developed and defended. In the Bible Exposition courses, adjunct faculty representing experience in pastoral work, missions, evangelism, Bible College or Seminary teaching come to Word of Life and teach their specialty for one or two weeks at a time. These are primarily Old and New Testament book studies with three weeks of Church History and a one-week Creation series. Outstanding Faculty: In addition to the outstanding, seminary-trained permanent faculty, top Bible Expositors such as Dr. Dan Anderson, Dr. Sherill Babb, Dr. Wendell Calder, Dr. Charles Ryrie, Dr. Renald Showers, and Dr. John Whitcomb, to name a few, are adjunct faculty. Growth and Training: Students are trained in personal evangelism, creating Bible lessons, and are encouraged to memorize scripture and maintain a daily Quiet Time. Each student is involved in some specialized area of ministry-- from local churches to prison Bible studies, open air evangelism to children's work, and singing groups to camp counseling. Special Activities:The calendar at Word of Life Bible Institute is punctuated with many special events, such as the annual Missions Conference in January, where information on mission boards and fields of ministry are presented.Sample First Year of Study:Fall Semester: James – Dr. Wendell Calder TERM – By His Name – Mr. John Cross Hebrews – Pastor Paul Harbourne Open Air Evangelism – Mr. Sam Frey Pastoral Epistles – Mr. Dave James Hosea – Mr. Todd Kinzer 2 Peter/Jude – Mr. Matthew Little Deuteronomy – Pastor Steve Hobbs Matthew – Mr. Scott Foreman Leviticus – Dr. Tom Davis John – Mr. Gary Stairs 1 Corinthians – Dr. Ken Gardoski Ephesians – Pastor John Boyd Judges – Pastor Mark Lowrie Philippians – Mr. Ric Garland Spring Semester: Revelation – Dr. Jimmy DeYoung Counselling – Pastor Joe Schenke Galatians – Pastor Ken Fillmore Proverbs – Pastor Steve Faulkner Spring Break – March 5 – 19 Church History – Dr. Tom Taylor Eschatology – Mr. Mark Strout Ecclesiology – Pastor Robert Snell Acts – Mr. Frank Roe Daniel – Dr. Ronald Gibson Genesis – Dr. John Whitcomb Church History – Dr. Renald Showers Pneumatology -- Dr. Marshall Wicks Summer Ministry:
